We are so excited to welcome social work students and professionals from across Kentucky to celebrate SOCIAL WORK LOBBY DAY 2019 on Thursday, March 7, 2019!  This is an important legislative session, as there are several proposed bills which could significantly impact social workers in Kentucky. Please share details with anyone who might be attending.

Important Event Details: 

• Lobby Captions will assist you with your scheduled meetings on each floor of the Annex, so please make your appointments in advance: https://legislature.ky.gov/Pages/index.aspx
• Please stop by our Social Work Lobby Day table located on the ground floor by the elevators in the Annex to get your information packet and we will be happy to chat with you! We have also prepared a useful Advocacy Tool-kit:

• Volunteers meet in the cafeteria at 9 am to pick up name tags. 
• Participants get your yellow folders/schedule and Meet and Greet table by the basement elevators in the Annex.  Hook up with colleagues and plan your morning, if you haven't already!
• Rally in the Rotunda from 1 pm  to 2 pm.  We have an inspiring and energetic line up of speakers that you won't want to miss as we celebrate Social Work Month and our lobby day together.  Please sign in at the table here to get your CEU.  
• Mansion tours run from 9 am to 11 am. Follow the link below to access a schedule of the tour times.

• Lobby Captains will be available on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors to help you locate the meetings you have scheduled with your Representatives or Senators, committees or drop ins you want to do.  As we have mentioned before, NASW-KY and KSCSW have not scheduled meetings for you to attend during Lobby Day. Don't forget about the two Facebook pages from our two associations:  NASW Kentucky and KSCSW, and the NASW Kentucky YouTube channel with 5 short and sweet videos on highlighting our tool-kit:

All volunteers will be wearing a thin white lanyard with a name tag, but if you get lost you can always find us at the Meet and Greet table.
