Welcome from the President

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Executive Board of the Kentucky Society for Clinical Social Work. You were nominated and elected to serve in this capacity because of your leadership in the field of social work. Your willingness to donate your time and talents is appreciated. Your colleagues who serve the KSCSW board are a dedicated group of individuals who are well accomplished in the profession of social work and have hearts for social justice. They, like you, represent the very best qualities social workers have to offer.

During your service on the Board you will be asked to attend monthly Board meetings, support special events sponsored by the Society (as you are able) and participate on a subcommittee of the Board. Please take a few minutes to review your binder. You will find our bylaws, as well as, our strategic plan. This plan serves as a guide for the work of the Society. Your feedback and fresh ideas will augment the efforts already in place!

KSCSW has a rich history dating back to the 1970's when the founders of the society lobbied to establish independent licensure for clinical social workers. Advocacy, education and community outreach have been priorities of this organization since its inception. The board joins me in, once again, welcoming you to this group.

Peace,

Kay Hubbard, MSW, LCSW
President
