DEIB Committee
The DEIB committee will address racial, cultural, and socioeconomic discrepancies within the social work profession and develop ways to support the individuals impacted. The DEIB committee will review all committees and events to ensure the needs of individuals and groups are valued and their voices heard. The DEIB committee will ensure all training is equitable, culturally inclusive, and socially responsive. The DEIB committee will model cultural sensitivity and provide education about this and ethics-related updates and changes as needed.

Education Committee
The Program/Education Committee shall implement the objective of the Society to provide continuing education and training in the form of conference and programs for the membership. The committee shall consist of at least one (1) Director appointed by the Board of Directors and shall include other members as needed. The chairperson shall be or shall delegate responsibility for implementing programs at regular membership meetings.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall be composed of at least one (1) Director appointed by the Board of Directors and shall include other members as needed. The Membership Committee along with EA/ED:
a. Shall review and approve or reject candidates applying for membership and notify candidates in writing within a week.
b. Shall provide new members with information concerning the Society’s functions and activities and assign new members to committees.
c. Shall notify Treasurer as to the dues classification of all new members.
d. Shall maintain a roster of members and shall notify the membership of the names of new members not less than annually.
e. Shall coordinate recruitment of new members.

Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee shall review legislative, executive and judicial proceedings bearing on the practice of clinical social work. The Committee shall educate the Board and the membership and shall make recommendations regarding corporate or individual actions to educate legislators or others about clinical social work perspectives.

Governance Committee
The Governance Committee shall be chaired by the Past President and shall work to strengthen board governance. The Governance Committee:
a. Shall plan for and oversee implementation of the Society’s strategic plan
b. Shall plan and provide orientation to new board members
c. Shall assess and strengthen member engagement with the Board in cooperation with Membership
d. Shall cultivate and recruit board leadership in cooperation with other committees
e. Shall support and oversee committee structure

The Supervision Committee meets as needed throughout the year to discuss any changes to supervision requirements, peer supervision consultation meetings, and other topics related to clinical supervision.

Duties
Standing Committees
The President shall appoint Chairpersons of the Standing Committees, except as otherwise herein provided, with the approval of the Board of Directors, for terms of two (2) years. The Chairperson of each committee may appoint committee members except as otherwise herein provided. The Standing Committees shall be:
Education Committee (Emily Moseley, LCSW)
The Program/Education Committee shall implement the objective of the Society to provide continuing education and training in the form of conference and programs for the membership. The committee shall consist of at least one (1) Director appointed by the Board of Directors and shall include other members as needed. The chairperson shall be or shall delegate responsibility for implementing programs at regular membership meetings.
The Education Committee Chair schedules all CEU’s (about 9-10 a year). We utilize Neon to manage our membership database, the education committee chair will train with the Executive Assistant to learn basic tools in Neon in order to become familiar with registration for CEU’s.
