Get Involved With KSCSW Committees
Members are invited and encouraged to join a KSCSW committee!
Participating in a committee is one of the best ways to get involved, make connections, and help strengthen the social work profession across Kentucky.
Committee meetings occur from 6:30 - 7:30 pm EST on the 2nd Monday of the following months: February, April, June, August, October, and December
Available Committees
DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging)
Addresses racial, cultural, and socioeconomic disparities in the social work profession. Reviews all committees/events for inclusivity, ensures equitable and culturally responsive training, models cultural sensitivity, and provides ethics-related updates.
Education
Plans and implements continuing education opportunities for members, including conferences and programs. Oversees CE offerings at membership meetings.
Membership
Strengthens engagement by developing networking events, professional development, and outreach. Promotes the value of KSCSW membership to social workers and allied professionals.
Advocacy
Monitors legislative, executive, and judicial actions affecting clinical social work. Educates members/board, and makes recommendations for advocacy efforts.
Governance
Oversees the Society's strategic plan, board orientation, member-board engagement, committee structure, and leadership recruitment. Strengthens organizational governance
Supervision
Addresses supervision requirements, peer consultation groups, and topics related to clinical supervision. Supports monthly peer consultation meetings.
