About
Carolynn Lee is originally from Eastern Kentucky and began her social work career in Middle Tennessee after earning a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. Her first role was with Centerstone, where she provided community-based mental health services to individuals and families across diverse settings.
In 2013, Carolynn returned to Kentucky and became licensed as a Certified Social Worker through the Kentucky Board of Social Work. For nearly a decade, Carolynn served as Director of Victim Services for the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, where she supported survivors of interpersonal violence, advanced public policy initiatives, and increased community awareness surrounding domestic violence. She collaborated closely with the criminal justice system, local service organizations, and policymakers to strengthen survivor-centered responses and improve systemic support for those impacted by interpersonal violence.
Carolynn is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Lexington, specializing in trauma-focused treatment modalities, including EMDR therapy. Alongside her clinical work, she remains deeply engaged in social justice and policy reform efforts. Her current advocacy focuses on advancing a more equitable, accessible, and accountable healthcare system for all.
