Program/Education Committee The Program/Education Committee implements the objective of the Society to provide continuing education and training in the form of conferences and programs for the membership. the committee consists of at least one (1) Director appointed by the Board of Directors and includes other members as needed. This committee also organizes and supports the Society's book club.
Membership Committee The Membership Committee is composed of at least one (1) Director appointed by the Board of Directors and includes other members as needed. The Membership Committee performs the following duties:
Reviews and approves or rejects candidates applying for membership and notifies candidates in writing within three (3) months of their acceptance or rejections.
Provides new members with information concerning the Society's functions and activities and assigns new members to committees.
Notifies the Treasurer as to the dues classification of all new members.
Maintains a roster of members and notifies the membership of the names of new members not less than annually.
Coordinates recruitment of new members.
Forms the nucleus of a Nominating Committee to be chaired by the Past President and performs duties in accordance with Article IV, Section 2
Public Policy Committee The Public Policy Committee reviews legislative, executive and judicial proceedings bearing on the practice of clinical social work. The Committee educates the Board and the membership and makes recommendations regarding corporate or individual actions to educate legislators or others about clinical social work perspectives.
Governance Committee The Governance Committee works to strengthen the Society's board governance. This committee is responsible for the following duties:
Provides orientation to new board members
Assesses and strengthens member engagement with the Board
